Course description

This training introduces key concepts in mental health.  It will develop your understanding of your own and others’ mental health so that you feel confident in supporting people experiencing difficulty.  It is suitable for anyone with an interest in mental health and/or supporting others.

It uses a framework of evidence based research to help delegates understand how and why poor mental health arises, how to support others and how to foster good mental health.   The course includes the opportunity for discussions relevant to specific environments and their effect on our mental health.  This interactive course is delivered by an experienced trainer and will provide opportunity for delegates to work alongside one another through a series of specially designed activities.

This course is open to all Medical Trainees working within the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital at any grade.
