Course description

This hands on course will discuss all aspects of oral surgery in primary dental care. This will include theory related to oral surgery planning, managing complications and complex medical histories. There will be practical sessions on bone removal, sectioning of teeth and suturing techniques.

Course aims:

  • Describe the principles behind appropriate planning in oral surgery.
  • Describe how to manage oral surgery complications and also how to prevent them in complex medical histories.
  • Describe current techniques used for bone removal, root sectioning and suturing.
