Orthodontic Update for GDPs (to include IOTN and Referral Criteria)

Course description

The aim of the session is to ensure that the dental team understand the normal development of the dentition, know how to carry out orthodontic assessments on patients,  understand the principles of IOTN, recognise what and when to refer and understand the principles of orthodontic tooth movement and treatment .

Course aims:

• Describe and discuss orthodontic case assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning
• Describe and discuss IOTN and referral criteria
• Describe and discuss orthodontic biomechanics and mechanics using treated cases
